Hard To Get

Comment/Synopsis
A strong willed daughter (Olivia de Haviland) of a wealthy family cannot pay for her petrol so the owner (Dick Powell) makes her clean the motel rooms and she vows to get revenge. Her plans lead to some comic situaltions including her pretending to be the family maid as they gradually fall in love with each other. This is a lightweight romantic comedy that has good performances from Olivia de Haviland and Dick Powell. There is also a nice cameo from Penny Singleton as the maid pretending to be the daughter during a dinner as Olivia de Haviland pretends to be the maid.
