A gold digger (Mary Martin) pretending to be a rich woman goes to Trinidad to catch a rich husband. A man (Dick Powell) knows who she is but offers to help her along with her friend (Betty Hutton). Whilst the film has a cast of good actors it is let down by a weak script and the comic elements often fall flat. The three leads gave better performances in other films. The best parts of the film are the Betty Hutton songs though they contribute little to the plot.
