A giant half human half animal beast is discovered in the mountains of Japan and is sought out by a group of scientists and a circus troop. This film started life as the Japanese 1955 Ishiro Hondo directed film which has been edited down, a voice over narration added and several American discussion scenes cut into it to fill in the story. The original Japanese scenes are good as is the monster, but the American scenes distract from the story and the action. It gets 3 stars for the original Japanese parts of the film, rather than the whole film.
