Comment/Synopsis

A wealthy white girl announces she is going to marry a black man and the family have to come to terms with their prejudices. This was the last time that Spencer Tracey and Katherine Hepburn appeared together, she won an Oscar and he was nominated, but it is Sidney Poitier's character that is at the center of the film challenging the racial norms of the day.
