Comment/Synopsis

A young boy is brought up by apes after his parents are killed following a ship wreck off Africa. Years later Ian Holm discovers Christopher Lambert who is now a young man, but whose behaviour is that of an ape.They return to England where his family are aristocrats and they try and integrate him into society. The film is based on characters by Edgar Rice Burroughs.
