In a rural war time hospital a man dies on the operating table but then one of the 5 people present says that he was murdered and then she is murdered. A jaded policeman is sent to investigate. The film is made by the performance of Alastair Sim as the policeman and also the narrator. There is also good support from Sally Gray as one of the suspects. This is a low budget, post-war British film that is still effective as a murder mystery.
