Sam Waterston is drawn into the rich 1920's life style of his neighbour (Robert Redford). This is mixed bag of a film. The cinematography is good, as are some of the scenes, but some other scenes are very flat. Robert Redford seems to struggle with his character in some of his scenes and Mia Farrow is both good as her character but also has an annoying voice that detracts from her performance. The film is based on the novel by F Scott Fitzgerald with a screenplay by Francis Ford Coppola.
