The owner of a printing company is also chair of a football club and gets into trouble when he manages to poach the star player from a rival football team. This reflects a time when players wages were capped and even the top players needed second jobs to survive. The plot is quite weak and Dina Dors has little to do in the way of acting. The most engaging performance is from Sheila Shand Gibbs as the girl friend of the star player at the centre of the film. Thora Hird is the assistant to the owner who keeps the company running.
