Comment/Synopsis

The female assistant (Mary Beth Hughes) in a sharp shooting act (Eric von Stroheim) persuades the man she is in love with to kill off her drunken husband (Dan Duyea) who is also in the act by an accident in the act. The film is told in flash back after Mary Beth Hughes has been killed and Eric von Stroheim is dying. There is a good performance from Eric von Stroheim as a man besotted with a women despite that fact that she serially uses men for her own ends. Mary Beth Hughes is also good as the woman who manages to get men to do what she wants.
