A woman (Olivia de Haviland) who works in a government war department discovers that the man she had an argument with over her friends wedding (Anne Shirley) is now her new boss. As his secretary she has to help the industrialist cope with the world of politics. This is a piece of war time propaganda of the American dream over politics. Olivia de Haviland gives a good entertaining performance as the secretary, though Sunny Tufts is not convincing as the lead.
