A secretary has a friend who is a reporter who is love with her, but she falls in love with a man who after he leaves her she discovers he is English aristocracy. The reporter makes up stories about her leading to her becoming a singing and dancing celebrity. This then leads to the inevitable love triangle. This was the first film that paired Claudette Colbert and Fred MacMurray.
