In the 1920's a couple run out of petrol on a foggy moor. The woman (Veronica Carlson) ends up in a strange house occupied by a strange doctor (Peter Cushing), his house keeper (Gwen Watford) and the gardener (John Hurt). When they go missing their friends come looking for them (Alexandra Bastedo) But there is also something unpleasant (Don Henderson) lurking in the attic with murderous intentions. This film has a very this plot based around people gradually disappearing in a spooky house.
