When a man pulls the emergency cord to stop a train so he can recover his hat, it means the passengers miss their connecting train and have to spend the night at a remote train station. The station master tells them a story about a ghost train that causes the death of any person who sees it. This is basically a vehicle for a series of Arthur Askey jokes as he plays the annoying musical hall comedian. The rest of the acting is staid, apart from the comparatively small part of Linden Travers who brings some life to her character.
