A man used to the high life and about to marry his girlfriend suddenly finds out that he is not an orphan and that his father and brother and gangsters running alcohol from Canada to America. After this he is drawn into their illegal activities with ultimately fatal consequences. The plot is somewhat muddled and the characters are not entirely convincing.
