A supposedly dead criminal threatens to kill a lawyer. The killer is a master of disguise when when his wife appears the police try and protect the man. The script is not great and it is not helped by the comic elements and the various side characters. The acting is not the best with Louise Henry wandering in and out in some impressive outfits. Not a classic British thriller, based on the novel The RInger by Edgar Wallace.
