A young girl (Vanessa Hudgens) claims she has been raped, but the investigating police do not believe her. When some bodies of murdered girls are discovered, the investigating policeman (Nicholas Cage) suspects a serial killer and that she was one of his intended victims. As he starts his investigation, he has to try and win her trust, which is hard given her background and her new life in prostitution and a drug user. Meanwhile the perpetrator (John Cusack) is hunting her down. There are solid performances from both Nicholas Cage and John Cusack in this decent story. Vanessa Hudgens is convincing as the victim and in a very different character from her High School Musical roles.
