Baron Frankenstein (Peter Cushing) creates a machine that can capture a person's soul. So when a local man is wrongly convicted and executed for murder he takes his soul and plants it into the body of his girl friend who commited suicide when she saw him being executed. The reanimated combined person then sets out to get revenge on those actually responsible for the murder. This is not the best of the Hammer films as the plot is not convincing and the characters need more passion.
