An aspiring actress (Marion Shilling) who shares a room with an aging film star (Beryl Mercer) and who both are looking for bit parts in films, gives a tip to her boyfriend reporter that a film has links to organised crime. This gives him his break to get promotion and falls in love with the daughter of the boss of the paper. He is soon attracted by the high life and forgets about how he started out, but eventually sees the error of his ways. Not a great film despite a good performance from Marion Shilling.
