Comment/Synopsis

Tom Cruise is a young lawyer who gets a job with a law firm that is a front for the mob and then takes the decision to expose it. He is helped by his wife Jeanne Tripplehorn and Holly Hunter, whilst Gene Hackman is the corrupt lawyer who develops a conscience. This is a nicely crafted film based on the John Grisham novel that mixes drama, suspense and some action. There are strong performances from both Jeanne Tripplehorn and Holly Hunter.
