Edward Norton is a an insiginificant office worker with a sleep problem and a difficult/strange relationship with Helena Bonham Carter. He meets a salesman (Brad Pitt) and they find escape from their lives in bare knuckle fights. Word spreads about fight club, and as the idea expands, then things start to go wrong. The film did not do well initially at the box office, but the film has gone on to become something of a cult movie and David Fincher's most well known film. On its release the film was controversial but has become a significant film.
