A young woman (Judy Geeson) who has had a nervous breakdown moves with her new husband (Ralph Bates) to live in a house at the school where he teaches. At the school she meets the creepy headmaster (Peter Cushing) and his wife (Joan Collins). She is attacked several times but no one believes her and she starts to doubt herself and her sanity. Judy Geeson gives a good performance as the innocent young wife and there are good performances from Peter Cushing, Ralph bates and Joan Collins. The problem with the film is the lack of twists in the plot.
