Comment/Synopsis

When his recently married daughter announces that she is pregnant her father has to come to terms with becoming a grandfather having only just got over paying for the wedding. This is a pleasant, though not great comedy, that is a follow up to the earlier Father Of The Bride (1950). There is a good cast, but the script limits what Spencer Tracy and Liz Taylor can deliver. It was remade as Father of The Bride 2 by Steve Martin in 1996.
