A wealthy woman has an argument with her nephew and is then killed. He is the prime suspect but spent the night in police cells. Her ward (Evelyn Ankers) thinks he is innocent but the police (Richard Fraser) think he is guilty. More murders and blackmail follow. This is a low budget American mystery set in England. There are solid in unexceptional performances from Richard Fraser as the police inspector and Evelyn Ankers as the innocent woman with a love interest in the policeman.
