A woman (Ann Harding) discovers that her step daughter (Donna Reed) is seeing an older man who is not a nice man and her ex-boyfriend. When they find him killed the daughter thinks it is the step-mother and threatens to go to the police. She asks a friend who is a blind retired policeman (Edward Arnold) to investigate to find out who really killed the man only to uncover a more sinister plot. This is a well crated thriller that has a good performance from Edward Arnold as a blind man with his dog that helps save the day.
