A woman who works on the returns desk of a department store stops a man who lives in her boarding house from committing suicide as he has spent all his inheritance. They then share a flat to save money but his former girl friend comes back onto the scene.
The film is a curious mix of genres but still worth wathcing if only because it is one of the few films that survive of Mary Mils Minter.
