This is a lavish portrayal of Elizabeth 1 coming to the throne and fighting to keep it amongst the court and international intrigue. Cate Blanchett as Elizabeth heads a strong cast, not least Joseph Fiennes as Robert Dudley.This is well filmed against some excellent sets and with good costumes.
