Comment/Synopsis
After an argument with his wife a rich financier throws her mink coat out of the window and it lands on a poor young woman. He decides to give her the coat and buy her a matching hat. She gets fired from her job, and then offered the top room in a hotel that the financier is about to close down because the manager thinks she is having an affair with him. She then meets a young man in a food automat without knowing he is the financiers son. Romance blossoms, despite all the confusion and misunderstandings. This is a good screwball comedy that was written by Preston Sturges and has a good performance from Jean Arthur. It is reported that the furs and jewels used in the film were real and so security guards were posted onto the set to protect them.
