Fred Astaire's dancing partner Ann Miller decides to go out on her own so he takes Judy Garland who is a chorus girl as his new dancing partner to prove that he can have someone else to dance as well as Ann Miller. This is not a great plot, and Fred Astaire is really to old to have both Judy Garland and Ann Miller fall in love with him, but the dance routines to the Irving Berlin score are good.
