Alien flying saucers make contact with a scientist (Hugh Marlowe) and his wife (Joan Taylor) and they have to develop a special weapon to stop them invading earth. This is one of the better black and white sci-fi films from the 1950's and is helped by the flying saucer effects from Ray Harryhausen.
