A young woman (Florence Lake) dies after being jilted by a Russian nobleman. Her father (Warner Oland) promises to take his revenge on the family. As the revolution comes the noble family move to America and the father is already there. Before he kills one of the family he sends them a monkey with a drum from a bracelet that he stole from the family. When he tries to kill one of the sons, the son (Lloyd Hughes) escapes and hides in the appartment of woman (June Collyer) and her feisty aunt (Clara Blandick). The plot is uneven but there is a good performance from Warner Oland haming it up as the evil doctor out for revenge and good support from June Collyer as the love interest and Clare Bandick as her feisty relative.
