Dr Jekyll develops a potion that unleashes his dark side that gradually takes him over and turns him into a murderer. This is the earliest known version of the story and one of the earliest examples of a horror film. Being a short film, the narative is truncated but there are good performances from James Cruze and Florence La Badie as Dr Jekyll's girlfriend.
