A man (Lew Ayres) addicted to gambling is rejected by his girlfriend (Ginger Rogers) unless he gives up gambling. When he refuses she calls off the wedding and he goes on a winning streak of gambling on the horses. The problem with this is that Lew Ayres character is not endearing, so there is no sympathy for him and it is difficult to see why Ginger Roger's character is attracted to him. This is an early Ginger Rogers film before she developed her full abilities.
