Father Brown (Alec Guinness) meets his match with master criminal Flambeau (Peter Finch) after he steals a priceless cross. The story is based on the Father Brown stories and is not the most inspiring version, with Alec Guinness in the lead role and support from Joan Greenwood as his aritocratic supporter.
