Wesley Snipes is a villain and Sylvester Stallone a policeman who are frozen for 40 years by which time the USA has become politically correct and peaceful to a fault. The villain escapes to wreak havoc and the disgraced "old style cop" is brought back to catch him. This is a violent satire that still manages not to take itself seriously. It achieves a good balance of action and humour. Ther is a good understated performance from Sandra Bullock as the modern policewoman with an interest in the old ways. One of Sndra Buloocks more entertaining performances and Sylverter Stallone being violent and tongue in cheek.
