A woman pretends that her husband has not died in order to inherit money from his family, but when she goes to Ireland for the yearly memoriil of the death of his young sister, sinster things start happening and secrets are revealed. The mother's will stipulates that he must old live the mother to inherit. As she visits the their castle in Ireland the secrets of the family start to be relaeaved whilst some goes around whielding an axe. This was the first full film directed by Francis Ford Coppola working with Roger Corman. It was made quickly and cheaply using setd and actor froma Roger Corman film being filmed at the same time.
