A teenage girl (Kellie martin) who wants to be part of the in crowd of popular girls at school ends up killing the most popular girl (Tori Spelling) at the school and a cheerleader. The film is told largely from the point of view of the girl who committed the murder and is based on actual events. There is a good performance from a young Kellie Martin as the bullied, outsider who wanted to belong. The trial part of the film raises questions of the social morality of the town where she was brought up.
