A woman (Amy Acker) who has lived off her parents money is told that she has to find a job or her money will stop. She finds a note written by a young girl to santa asking for a new wife for her widowed father (David Hayden-Jones). She decides to meet him and his daughter. She starts volunteereing at the soup kitchen that he runs, but her plans are made difficul by his scheming current girlfriend (Gina Holden). This is a predictabe romance but made watchable by the performances of Amy Acker and Gina Holden.
