A rocket being sent to the moon goes off course and sends a shower of meteors towards earth. The plot is a standard sci-fi / space disaster film. It was clearly made on a small budget as many scenes utilised stock footage coupled with some low budget effects. This is not a great film and the characters are not well developed. What makes the film notable is that it is credited as the first Italian sci-fi film and although he is not credited, Mario Bava effectively directed and photographed the majority of the film.
