Comment/Synopsis

A dancer (Maureen O'Hara) with aspirations to be a ballerina is part of a dance troop. The lead dancer (Lucille Ball), who also attracts all the men, leaves to get her break in a burlesque club. When she does not get a job as a ballerina, she becomes the ballet dancing stooge to the other woman's raunchy act. Things are complicated with their various relationships with an assortment of men. The musical / dance numbers are OK, but it is the performances from Maureen O'Hara and Lucille Ball that carry this film. This film was made early in both of their careers but their talents are obvious in this film.
