A young woman arrives penniless in New York where she meets up with a fortune teller and is attracted to a rich lawyer. When the fortune teller has a minor accident, she takes over the role and uses it to win the lawyer by splitting him up from his girl friend. The plot is not great, but Paulette Goddard gives a good performance as the scheming woman trying to catch a rich husband.
