Comment/Synopsis

After a whirlwind romance a doctor (Donald Houston) gets married to a woman (Natasha Parry) and they move to his family home which is inhabited by three spinsters and and their young and attractive companion (Patricia Owens). She starts to suspect that she in not welcome and that someone is trying to kill her. This has the feel of Victorian melodrama with 1950's stereotypes of paranoid young wife, dotty aunts and scheming maid. The film is based on the novel by Dorothy Eden.
