Eddie Murphy is a pampered African prince who decides to go to American to find love rather than marry the woman who has been chosen for him. Eddie Murphy gives a good performance as the prince who pretends to be poor and falls for the daughter (Shari Headley) of a fast food outlet owner (James Earl Jones). This is a good variation on the romantic comedy theme.
