In Victorian London a working class police inspector searches for the murderer of three women and is helped by the feisty daughter (Keeley Hawes) of an upperclass family linked to the murders. The plot is a typical muder msytery but the probel is that the charcers are sterotypres with little depth abd the clash of social classes lacks subtlety. Keeley Haes though is good in the lead role given the limitatins of the script.
