A jewel thief (Tony Martin) has to stay in the casbah in Algiers or he will be arrested by the local police (Peter Lorre) , but his life is upset when he meets a rich foreign woman (Marta Toren), but to the annoyance of his girlfriend (Yvonne De Carlo). The plot is nothing secial as the love triangle develops, though it is the songs that are the most well known part of the film.
