Virginia McKenna is the daughter a French mother and English father (Jack Warner) who is recruited by the British Special Operations Executive to work undercover in German occupied France in World War 2. The film is based on the story of Violette Szabo with a good performance from Virginia McKenna in the lead role which depicts something of the the pressures people lived through during this period. The film is based on the book by R J Minney.
