A young woman from an overbearing and dysfunctional family becomes a ballet dancer and has affairs with several artists. However she and an artist have a fiery relationship, but when he leaves her she rashly marries a farmer from Cornwall with disastrous consequences. Sally Gray is good in the lead role and there is good support from the other actors.
