A spoiled rich young boy falls off a luxury lines and is picked by a fishing boat. He has to stay with them as they finish their fishing trip and he learns that money cannot buy everything as he also learns about work and friendship. Spencer Tracy won his first best actor Oscar for his performance as the fisherman who takes the boy under his wing. Freddie Bartholomew also gives a good performance as the boy.
