Dirk Bogarde inherits a valley in the Canadian Rockies. He has a terminal illness, so in his last 6 months he tries to prove that his grandfather was right and that there was oil under the land. Meanwhile Stanley Baker is building a dam that will flood the valley. Based on the novel by Hammond Innes. The performances are bland, with a feeling that some of them are miscast, shame because I enjoyed the book. The film is based on a novel by Hammond Innes.
