Comment/Synopsis
A shop girl finds a baby on the stes of a foundling hospital and everyone thinks that it is hers. This includes the son the owner of the store where she works who gets enables her to get her job back after she is sacked. Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher are entertaining as the couple falling in love when they were actually husband and wife at the time the film was made. This is a musical remake of the earlier film Bachelor Mother. Parts of this are a shot for shot remake with the musical number added, though they are not particularly inspiring. Overall the compbination of Ginger Rogers and David Niven in the original version are better.
