Kirsty Swanson is the girl chosen to be trained as the vampire killer, by Donald Sutherland, for this generation. The TV series that followed was much better, more entertaining and a bigger success, not least due to the change of lead to Sarah Michelle Geller and Joss Whedon taking over more control of the writing and production.
